You need your eyes to listen Because some screams cannot be heard Some pleas are on the inside Which you have to hear with your eyes
know because I am one of them, screaming on the inside The mask gets old and brings me down But I still keep it on to fool everyone No one I know can hear with their eyes
To listen with your eyes is a hard thing to do Not everyone is capable of doing it But those with the gift should not waste it Help those screaming on the inside
But all I need is reassurance Someone to promise me things will get better But everyone just passes me by Listening with their ears and not with their eyes
Look for the person with the fake smile on their face If you look into their eyes you’ll hear it You’ll hear their screams and pleas For someone to talk to and understand
