Who are Habbo guides?

Habbo Guides are experienced players who like to share their knowledge of Habbo with others and make new players feel welcome.

Habbo's Guides meet and greet new Habbos, guiding them around the place and generally making them feel at home.

Remember: new users might not need help with something specific - they are expecting a friendly welcome to Habbo, maybe a friend or two and guidance to their Habbo experience.

If you have held your Habbo account for more than 30 days, have not been banned recently or banned a lot in the past, you can be a Habbo Guide. Of course, you also need to be friendly and driven by a desire to help others! If you are mean or unhelpful to a new player they will probably drop you from their Friends List and then you'll receive no reward.

When new people join Habbo we'll ask them if they'd like to meet a Guide from Habbo. If they say yes, we'll send alerts to members of this group who are in the Hotel at the same time. I just became a Guide and don't get any alerts. Help!

Below are some possible reasons why you may not get alerts once you've joined the Guide Group:

* Your acount may be less than 30 days old
* You may have gained more than 10 bans
* You may have been banned in the last 14 days
* You may need to reload Habbo before you see the Guide icon in the top left of the screen
* You may not have clicked on the Guide icon and selected 'yes' to get invites
* No new players may need at that moment!

Do I get a new badge for each new player I help?

No. Each badge is progressively harder to attain so everyone will know you're a truly exceptional Guide by the time you gain your Owl badge!

I was banned and now I can't Guide people. Why?

Guides are fine upstanding members of the Habbo community which means they keep to the Habbo Way. If you are banned you are prevented from Guiding other players for awhile.

Have Guide Bots replaced the Guide system?

No, the idea is that Guide Bots can give new Habbos some basic help
at any time of day or night but we're also currently working on
improvements to the original Guide system and it will return in the not
too distant future.
