When I try to post, or start a thread in a discussion forum, why am I asked to activate my email?

We require you to verify/activate your email before you post on the discussion forums so that people are not able to register on the site just to spam message boards.

To verify your email address, please do the following:

* If you still have your registration email (the one Habbo sent you when you signed up), you can click the link in the email to verify your account now.

* If you don't have the email anymore, you can verify your email by logging into your account and clicking "Account Settings" then "Email" and follow the instructions on the screen.

What rights do Group Owners have?

The owner of the Group can make their Group discussion forum visible to everyone or just to group members. The Group Owner can also decide who can create and edit new threads: Everyone, Group Members only, or Administrators.

What options are there to edit a thread?

A thread can be edited to make it open (so users can post to it); closed (so users cannot post to it); sticky (so the thread always stays at the top of the forum); or normal (where the thread moves down the forum as its popularity drops).

What rights do Group Admins have?

The Group Admin can make new threads and edit current ones. They can also edit other users' posts, delete other users' posts and edit threads; making them open, closed or sticky.

What rights do Group Members have?

Group Members can post to a thread and edit their posts, if the Group Owner has allowed this in the Group settings.

What rights do non-members have?

If allowed by the Group Owner, non-members can post to a thread and edit their thread.

What settings are available to Groups?

The Forum type can be changed to Public/Private. In the Private setting, only Group Members can see the Discussion forum. The rights can also be set as Admin/Members/Everyone - this designates who can post to threads and start new threads.

I get a Spam error!

If you post 3 messages really quickly, then you get this message and are blocked for 10 minutes from adding more posts.

Who can make a thread sticky?

The thread creator can, by clicking on "Edit thread settings" when in the thread.

Why do I have to enter a code to post to a forum?

Unfortunately some Habbos like to flood forums with messages to disrupt them. In order to keep your forums free of spam we ask that players take a few seconds to enter a code before posting a message.

What happens if I don't enter the code?

If you don't enter the code you will be asked to do so before your message can be posted.
