The Habbo Way is a simple set of rules for all players to follow in the Habbo:
- Do not bully, harass or abuse other players; avoid violent or aggressive behaviour
- Do not steal or scam passwords, credits or furniture from other players
- Keep your password and personal details secret and never try to gain this information from other players
- You may not give away, sell or trade your Habbo account or seek to sell virtual items from Habbo for cash
- Do not take part in sexual activities, make sexual proposals or respond to them
- Do not use any scripts or third party software to enter, disrupt or modify Habbo
Treat other players as you would wish to be treated! And remember that a crime in a virtual world is as serious as in the real world.
For more information on acceptable use of the Habbo service please read the
Terms & Conditions
All areas of Habbo have a word filter on them, which filters out offensive words. This covers swearing and racist or sexist language, plus some personal information
Offensive words are replaced with 'bobba'. These filters also work on Habbo names, missions, sticky notes and all types of messages sent through the Habbo console.
You can disable to language filter if you are over 13 by going to "Account Settings", clicking on "Motto & Preferences" and ticking the "Turn bad language filter off" box. When you save your changes, and re-enter Habbo, you will no longer see bobba for certain swear words. Other offensive language will still remain filtered.
If your son or daughter has been banned from the hotel, it's most likely only for two hours. We issues temporary bans for minor offences. However for more serious violations of our rules, or if the account user is a repeat offender, we may issue longer bans.
If your child cannot enter Habbo after two hours, he or she has most likely violated the rules in a more serious way and has been banned for longer, maybe even permanently.
No, because these programs change the code that is sent from your computer to the Habbo servers. This is expressly forbidden in our
Terms of Service. Any Habbo using such programs will be banned permanently and his/her details may be passed on to the police.
This applies to all aspects of Habbo, and the Habbo website.
If you can't get into Habbo and you got a message window saying that you have been banned from Habbo, then you should wait for the ban to expire. Most bans are two hours in length, although some may be longer depending on the circumstances that caused your ban.
Moderators are trained professionals and do not ban accounts for no reason. Habbo staff can check the reason why you have been banned and we will know exactly what has happened. As such, we very rarely have any reason to remove a ban from an account.
You can email Player Support using the
Habbo Help Tool to appeal a ban that is more than 7 days in length, and we will review the situation. However this does not guarantee that your ban will be lifted! Remember, we can see exactly what happened, so do not bluff or lie about how you got banned - if you do, we won't lift the ban from your account!
Habbo is a place where people come to relax, hang out and make new friends in a safe, non-threatening environment. The Habbo Way helps to maintain this safe, non-threatening environment.
Like most places you visit, we have rules. You can't shout in a library, you can't steal from a supermarket and you can't call people rude names on the street. Just because you are on the Internet, it doesn't mean you can disobey all the rules!
If someone is annoying you on Habbo you should use the SHUTUP button to filter out their chat. If they are in a room you own/have rights in, you can also kick them out, and ban them temporarily.
If someone is doing something which is making you feel unsafe or threatened, please press the big blue question mark on the bottom right of the screen. This allows you to send a "Call for Help" to our Moderators.
Remember, the "Call For Help" is for emergencies only! If you abuse it, you may be banned from Habbo.
If you break the Habbo Way you may receive a message asking you to stop. Alternatively you may be removed from the room you are in or banned from Habbo for a period of time relative to the seriousness of your action.
No,you cannot use exploits or scripts that others have found/created to change things on Habbo.
These activities change the code that is sent from your computer to the Habbo servers. This is expressly forbidden in our
Terms of Service. Any Habbo using such programs will be banned permanently and his/her details may be passed on to the police.
