Habbo runs on technology created by our parent company Sulake. You can find out more about them from the
Sulake website.
Sulake staff also responsible for the visual design and graphics, and spent a lot of time making Habbo a colourful, exciting place to be.
To take a screen shot on Habbo simply hold down 'Ctrl' and 'Print Screen', then open any paint program and press 'Ctrl' and 'V' to paste the image.
This only works with certain versions of Microsoft Windows. Other operating systems will have different methods available to you for taking screenshots.
Hobbas were volunteers who had several roles within Habbo. These included:
* Banning Habbos that break the Habbo Way
* Answering Calls for Help
* Educating Habbos in all things safety related.
Habbo no longer has Hobbas. We now have
Moderators to take care of misbehaving Habbos, and
Habbo Guides to help new users keep safe!

Ex-Hobbas, have a special service
badge to thank them for their dedication to Habbo and the community. If you meet someone in Habbo with this badge, then they were a Hobba!
You may not be able to register your desired username for one of the following reasons:
* The name is already in use on another account.
* A cluster of letters are in our filter as they often appear in abusive or unsuitable words - for example Arsenal fans often find they cannot say their teams name on a lot of websites due to such filters.
* The name references a colloquialisms or slang expression which is deemed insulting or demeaning.
We suggest you try thinking of some new names!
Unfortunately, we do not offer work experience placements at Habbo/Sulake.
This is due to the huge volume of requests that we receive. We couldn't possibly accept them all, and we feel it work be unfair to let only one or two people do it, and disappoint everyone else.
No, it isn't.
What you've received is called a chain mail. It's spam - which tells you to send it to a load of other people, so they get spammed too!
The mail might look something like this:
Habbo is recently becoming very overpopulated, There have been many members complaining that Habbo is becoming very slow.Record shows that the reason is that there are too many non-active Habbo members And on the other side too many new Habbo members.
We will be sending this messages around to see if the Members are active or not,If you're active please send to 15 other users using Copy+Paste to show that you are active Those who do not send this message within 2 weeks, The user will be deleted without hesitation to create more space, If Habbo is still overpopulated we kindly ask for donations but until then send this message to all your friends and make sure you sendthis message to show me that your active and not deleted.
Founder of Habbo Mark Zuckerberg
You'll notice chain mails generally have lots of spelling mistakes, with bad grammar/punctuation and have incorrect information (if Habbo needed to mail every Habbo, we'd do it ourselves and not ask you to forward it on!) We don't need to delete Habbos to create server space, or to stop the service from crashing etc etc.
If you receive one of this mails from one of your friends..well just tell them how silly it is, and show them this FAQ to make them blush!
