Welcome to the Yukka Tree Hill Competition FAQs. Please read through these and see if your question has already been answered. If you think you still have a valid question, you can ask it here and we will post our answer back in this thread. We aim to do this the next day (Mon to Fri). Ask a question about Yukka Tree Hill competition >>

Do the villagers provide there own room and make them themselves, or do we (the Village owner) make the rooms for them?
They can either provide their own House and Field which you then link to, or you can provide a House and Field for them. It's up to you and your village to choose. You can even combine the two methods.

Do all entries have to be in BIG rooms?
No, not at all. Use any room you like in your village. We do recommend using a big room for your entrance, so you can link easily to everything. This is also optional though. Make it how YOU want it :)

Does only the owner of village get the prize?
No. All members of the winning Village will also be in line for a prize along with countless random on the spot chances to win something.

Do we do all the community bits ourselves?
It's completely up to each individual village as to how much or how little they do. The more you do, the more likely people will want to join your village and the faster you will grow.

I don't get it. I don't understand it.
Please read all the competition information again and then, if you still don't get it, ask a question about a specific part that you do not understand. I am not explaining the whole competition again in this thread, as it is already clearly outlined in the news article.

For this Yukka Tree competition, Where you make a village, Can you work in a pair? Like build a village together and still win badges?
Yes, absolutely. Team work is the name of the game. Get as many of you together as possible and build the largest and greatest village in Habbo. The more the merrier! Also, don't be afraid to ask new people to join your village.

What Info exactly do we need to put in the rooms? Does it need to be in all the rooms that are a part of the community?
Only the Village Entrance requires information.

1. Give the room the same name as your Village.
2. Make the description your current official tier (this will be Tier 0 for now)
3. Make sure it's placed into the Yukka Tree Hill Villages Navigator Floor

That's all the information you need to supply in your rooms. However, you might like to add signposts in your rooms (sticky notes) so your villagers can find houses and services easily.

Does each village have its own name?
Yup. Call it anything you like, but make it unique in someway so it's not the same as another village name.

Do we need to make the services as well? I mean I'm in the middle of making the main room but like I don't think i have enough for the services.
The services will be separate rooms that are linked to by teleport. Exactly the same as the houses and fields of your villagers. This means that anyone who is a member of your village can contribute and make services. All they need to do is link to the correct place. This is a TEAM competition. Share the jobs out to everyone :)

Do we make our own village, then random people join if they want to?
Yup, exactly. You can also invite your friends, of course!

If we are our own Manager let's say of your town, entrance e.c.t does that mean you are in charge of getting villagers?

No. The entire village as a whole shares the responsibility and should contribute. This is a TEAM competition so make sure everyone in your village helps out somehow.

When does it actually start? it doesn't have a date. I'm guessing next week?
Village building should start now. There will be information throughout this week with details of dates and times for events, competitions and Mayor visits. They will all start this week.

Can we have our village houses in 1 room, and our services in another? Or does everyones house/services need to all be linked from 1 room?
You can use as many rooms as you like. It's YOUR village, so you decide. It just needs an entrance room so that you can place it in the correct Navigator Floor. That entrance room can be anything you like. Link up all your stuff any way you like :)

Do we have to start from tier 0 or can we start at tier 3 or 4 straight away because our village has a lot of villagers already we have like 25+ so do we have to start from tier 0 or can we start straight at tier 3?
Yes. you start at Tier 0. You can only move up a maximum of TWO tiers at a time. This is done each individual time the Mayor checks your village. EG To reach Tier 5, the Mayor must visit your Village a minimum of 3 times.

Do we have to have only 5 rooms in the entrance room till we get promoted up a tier or can we have like as many teles in the room already?
No. You can build up as much as you like, as fast as you like. The Mayor can only move you up by Two Tier's maximum in a day, but that doesn't mean you can't have it all done ready for the next day.

Do all the rooms have to be farm themed?
No, they do not. Be creative and make your village iconic!

Do we have to use a certain type of Teleporter in the Main room?
No. Use any mixture of teleports that you like. It's YOUR village!

How do you know when you have moved up a tier / that the Mayor has visited?
Your Village will be added to the Yukka Tree Hill map on the official Group once the Mayor has visited for the first time. You will know your Tier as it will appear beneath your Village name. The Tier will increase in number if the Mayor approves it. This will all become easy and clear to you when the first Villages are added to the Group on Thursday.

If the entrance is locked, will it still be seen by the Mayor?
Yes, the Mayor can access locked rooms. However, a thriving Village is one that is open to all and busy. Don't worry too much about having ideas stolen, as the competition is actually about Team work, not creativity.

Can you be in more than 1 village? ie. If I owned one, then I joined another and had a house + farm in that aswell and a different house and farm in mine. Or if I just joined 2 villages and have one house and farm in the one, then a house and farm in the other. Or can you only be in one?
No. You should only commit yourself to one village.

Is there only 1 winning group that get's badges for ALL their team?
Or can runner up groups collect badges aswell? (For the whole of their village)

Correct. The largest Village wins. However, there are loads of prizes and opportunities to win for ALL villages.

Can the Villager's house and field be 1 room?
No. It must be separate rooms. They do not have to be a work of art. It's completely up to you and the village to decide how the rooms should look.

Can we have a community Field / Allotments or People to grow crops in?
Yes! It's all about team work. Feel free to help fellow villagers, but just be careful you don't give away your Furni against your will. Lending Furni is always a bad idea. Far better to link them to your own room and let them have rights.

Do we make all the requirements for Tier 1? (The 5 village houses and 2 services) So it's ready for when it's been approved by the Mayor? Or do we have no houses and no services for Tier 0?
You can prepare your Village to whatever Tier level you like. The Mayor will visit and move you up a maximum of TWO Tiers per visit.

Do we have to provide a field and house, or can we replace one of them with a village service?
Every villager requires a house for shelter and their own separate field for food.

If you dont have furni to make a room in a village can you share a room?
Absolutely! You can as many villagers as you like in one House, BUT it will only count as ONE villager in your population. The amount of villagers is counted based on occupied houses. If you do choose to share a house with someone, remember to be careful with your furniture! If you place it in their room, the Furni becomes theirs and you risk losing it if they decide they don't want to return it.

Do the villagers win badges? The people that made the rooms.
Yes. Everyone in the winning village will win a prize as long as the village owner(s) supplies your name at the end.

Will you be releasing the farm teleporters for all to buy or just competition winners?
You'll have to wait and see!

In your own village, do you have to make the houses to the villagers? Or do they just connect their own main room to the village centre?
This is a TEAM competition, which means that everyone in your village should contribute rooms and linking teleports. It is NOT just the owner of the village that should be building the rooms. Everyone should help :)

Because of the teleport glitch it says ALL the rooms are owned by the village entrance owner. When will this glitch be fixed so the mayor knows whos rooms they actually are because its just going to get mixed up and think they are all owned by one person?
This glitch is being worked on and will be fixed asap. It has no impact on the competition at all as the Mayor is an experienced Habbo user and knows about the glitch. We are optimistic that the glitch will be resolved before the end of the competition.

Are we each going to get a section on this forum to post events for our own village?
This has not been planned, but it's a nice idea. We will see.

Do you have to provide the teles or do the villagers do it?
Anyone can provide the teles.

Is there a max number of villagers in the end or is it on going?
There is no maximum, in theory.

Could you make it a set time for the AM start like 10am so we know when to be on to help the mayor our with the services and get some goodies?
Will you be posting exact times for the Mayor to Visit or Does He Visit When He wants within the 3 times he visits? Will they be different everyday?
No, sorry. In the interests of fairness and equality, the Mayor visits completely at random, 3 times a day minimum. He visits morning, early afternoon and late afternoon.

Is there a maximum number of villages that can fit on the map?
There is, yes. Better hurry if yours is not on there yet!
