You should advertise in the proper threads guys. What other people have posted is correct, to get a good fansite you need to start with a domain, trusted and dedicated staff, possibly a radio, some nice guides and goodies, and good content. Then you should sign up to some topsites and start an advertising gig.

I have some helpful information for you. I would highly reccommend buying a domain, and a VBulletin forum. My goal here is not to sound mean but, you will not get far with a free forum. If you did happen to get those, I would be more then happy to help run the forum and get it popular.
