The Rolling Stones

Ronnie Wood
Ronnie Wood is a guitarist/bassist for the Rolling Stones. He also plays the drums, harmonica, saxophone, and lap-steel guitar. The lap-steel guitar can be heard in songs such as Faraway Eyes. Ron is also known to be a highly skilled artist. He has written three books to date, and has a vast collection of solo discography.

Personal Favourites
Here is a list of my personal favourite Rolling Stones songs:

Sympathy for the Devil
Dangerous Beauty
Anybody Seen my Baby
Tumbling Dice
Shine a Light
Faraway Eyes
Gimmie Shelter
Honky Tonk Women
Heartbreaker
Start me Up
Brown Sugar
Miss You
Don't Stop
Shattered
Love is Strong
Thru and Thru
I Go Wild
Baby, Break it Down

And of course, Champagne & Reefer, the Muddy Waters cover from the new Shine a Light live album.

Charlie Watts
Charlie Watts is the drummer for the Rolling Stones. I think he provides some backing vocals for a select few songs, but I'm not too sure. He is well known to be a shy, quiet person, unlike other members of the band. However, like other members, he too has done some solo work on the side.

About this Group
I made this group to show my appreciation, obviously! I made the badge a rainbow because of the numerous song titles by the Rolling Stones which include the wonderul word. For example, She's Like a Rainbow, Blinded by Rainbows, etc.
It'd be so good if you could join the group so you too can show your love for the almighty band.

Thanks,
Patrick

A Brief History
The Rolling Stones are an English band formed in London, in the 1960s. Their first (oh-so) popular single was named Satisfaction, the song being about the lack thereof... That's not one of my personal favourites, but anyway. They have released a colossal twenty-four studio albums, ten live albums, and around twenty-six compilations. Their music covers a whole lot of genres, including Rock, Blues-rock, R&B, and Rock n' Roll.

Mick Jagger
Sir Michael Jagger is the lead-vocalist & frontman of the Rolling Stones. He plays the piano, guitar, and harmonica. I really enjoy the songs which include a bit of harmonica - Love Is Strong, for example. Note that he - hilariously - has seven children to four women. Ouch. He does some acting and solo musicianship on the side, too.

Keith Richards
Keef RiffHard is a co-founding member of the Rolling Stones, who wrote most of their songs along with Jagger. He is often associated with the Fender Telecaster - the Arctic White one would be my favourite. On a few of the songs, Richards provides lead vocals; for example, Thru and Thru, and You Got the Silver. As well as the guitar (which he is ranked tenth in the world at - Rolling Stone Magazine), he plays the piano, bass, and percussion.
