Some people might still think Same Difference are mental – can it possibly be natural for two people to be so positive about a world so relentlessly cruel and depressing? – but perhaps that’Bobbaactly why we need this stuff on the airwaves.

Sean and Sarah Smith may sound like normal names but this brother sister pair of singing-before-they-could-talk, dancing-before-they-could-walk stars have swapped their hometown of Southampton for a parallel, Technicolor world of high octane pop.
While Sarah learnt her craft in the safe bosom of a stage school, Sean was thrown in the deep end (sometimes literally) as a cruise ship entertainer.
However it was Sean and Sarah’s 2007’s X Factor run where they blossomed with a string of memorable performances so over the top and joyous that, for better or worse, they’re scorched deep into the psyche of the British public.

In life, some will always say the glass is half full, while others will always say that same glass is half empty.
There are also those who believe that not only is the glass half full but that the glass and its contents would be far better off singing, dancing, executing eight perfect costume changes every hour and flying around a stage on wires before staging three rapturous encores and disappearing through a trapdoor in a blaze of dry ice, laser lightshows, pyrotechnics, jazz hands and a thousand glitter cannons.
