There have been 5,500 serious knife crimes in the UK in just 3 months.
In London alone - over the May Bank Holiday weekend (27-29th May 06) - Police recorded over 50 knife attacks.
Many criminologists now believe that people carrying a knife is a bigger threat than people carrying guns.
Up to 60,000 young people, mostly male, may be stabbed and injured each year.
