From Monday 23rd of March to Saturday 28th March Habbo UK will participate in the global Earth Hour event. The event aims to get people to switch off their lights (computers are fine!) for one hour on the 28th of March at 8.30pm to save energy and by doing this, battle against global warming.
For the first time ever, Habbo WORLDWIDE will be joining the event as well.

What is Earth Hour?
Earth Hour began in Sydney (Bucho6 was there and taking part) in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights.
In 2009, Earth Hour aims to reach out to 1 billion people in 1,000 cities. This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.
We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.
