Neutering is one of Dogs Trust’s most important campaigns. By neutering your dog and stopping unplanned litters of puppies, you will also be helping us to reduce the number of stray and abandoned dogs. In areas of the country that have high numbers of stray dogs, Dogs Trust can sometimes help dog owners with the cost of neutering as this can be a very expensive operation that many people on lower incomes cannot afford.
In addition to our 17 rehoming centres, Dogs Trust also has a special sanctuary for elderly abandoned dogs called Oakfield.
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the United Kingdom.
In 2008 we cared for over 16,000 dogs.

Arthur
Here is Arthur enjoying a spot of R ‘n’ R in Dorset. ‘He’s a smashing young chap and we all love him to bits. As you can see he loves to swim and once he got used to the water we couldn’t keep him out of the sea! Thanks for everything you do.’ Mark and Lynne Pearson.

Scout
It warmed our cockles to learn that Scout's owner had planned a surprise proposal to his partner in Venice, but only after they a had visited our West London centre several times to ensure he could rehome soulful Scout. During the build up to their wedding, Melissa and Anthony made sure scout attended puppy classes (she was quite shy). Scout was impeccably behaved on the big day itself. 'Scout is part of the family now, neither of us can imagine life without her!’ Says Melissa.

Agnes
Terry reckons Agnes has settled in well with him, but she still doesn’t like to be left alone, choosing to ignore her toys and chew his golf bag instead! That aside, Agnes enjoys chasing the odd bird, walking on the beach and playing football – and even takes herself off to bed when she knows its bed time but Terry is staying up later than usual!
