Become bullyproof - Tips

Tip 1 Tell us, EVERY time!
Let one of our moderators know by clicking on the golden question mark on the left hand side of your navigator in the hotel, each time it happens. You can also contact us by email.

Tip 2 Report it!
You can report guestbook entries, group sticky notes and forum posts by clicking the red exclamation mark next to the post. You can also delete any unwanted entries from your own pages.

Tip 3 Take control!
Use your account settings on Habbo web. You can choose when other Habbos can see you online, change your friends list, stop trading and lots more.

Tip 4 Stay safe!
Protect your personal info. Don’t arm the bully by giving out your full name, address, school name, phone number, or anything else that could be used against you.

Tip 5 Don’t bully back!
If someone is upsetting you, don’t retaliate by becoming a bully yourself. Report it!

Tip 6 Don’t add fuel to the fire
If someone passes on a humiliating link, photos or tells you a nasty story, think how you’d feel if that was you. As soon as you pass it on, you become part of the problem.

Tip 7 Look after your pass
Never give your pass out to ANYONE. Some nasty Habbos might use your account to bully others, or do things to get you in trouble, so keep it safe!

Tip 8 Room for thought
If someone is upsetting you, there are plenty of other places to go and have a good time. You can even create your own space which you can leave open for all to join, lock for people you know or even pass protect. Just choose the room icon in the bottom left of your navigator in the hotel and change the 'room settings'.

Tip 9 Keep a bully diary.
Make a note of when and how often it happens, and save (and report) any nastiness.

Tip 10 Tell someone irl!
Cyber bullying is just as serious as any other kind, and you don’t have to put up with it. Talk to a parent, teacher or organisation like ChildLine.
