Help The Heroes

On the 11th hour
of the 11th day
of the 11th month

one minute of
silence.
For the Armistice signing.
For those who have lost family.
For those who have died.
For the Heroes.

What is Remembrance Day?

Remembrance Day is a special day set aside to remember all those men and women who were killed during the two World Wars and other conflicts.

At one time the day was known as Armistice Day and was renamed Remembrance Day after the Second World War.

:)

For love of country they accepted death...

Why wear a poppy?

Not only is it a national tradition to wear an artificial poppy, it is also a mark of respect.

The poppy flower was chosen because in France it was the only sign of life in the battlefields after the war was over, and the black and red are appropriate colours as they mark love and death.
