Hey folks! This is the thread which you need to check out and read for most (if not all!) of the answers to the most frequently asked questions by you, the Guides.
Below, the questions and answers have been categorized to make it easier for you to find the information you're looking for. If there's a question you want answered that isn't found here then don't worry, just post a new thread in the discussion forums - However if your question is answered in this section please don't post! :)
How do I use the Guide tool? Just click on the icon and start picking up invites. Accept invites when they are offered to you and start helping new users to help them get to know Habbo.
When do I get my bunny badge? The bunny badge is not given automatically when you join the Guide Group, but granted when you have successfully helped your first player (i.e. They have been active on Habbo for 3 days and kept you on their Friends List)
What happens if I accept an invite? - You are transferred to a room that a new user owns. - You can then meet the new user and start helping them, especially if they need help with getting to know Habbo. - You automatically make friends, so that we can reward you if this user comes back to Habbo and stays as a member of Habbo. What happens if I break the friendship? You do not get the reward.
What happens if the new user breaks up the friendship? You do not get the reward.
What happens if I get the reward? When You get enough rewards, you will get a level up. There are 10 levels to progress through. Each individual level up includes a new badge - check them out on the group page. If you get rewarded for helping a new user, you will then have a blank spot on your list again for helping another new user.
How long must the new user stay on Habbo for in order for me to get a reward? The new Habbo has to stay as a member for at least 3 days and has to have enough online time. Can I be a Guide? If you have been playing Habbo for 30 days and you haven't had any bans recently or a large amount in the past, then yes, you can.
How do I get the Wolf badge? Only six players at any one time hold the Wolf badge. They are handpicked by Habbo staff for their great knowledge of Habbo and their friendly outlook. Holders of the Wolf badge help new Guides to craft their skills.
Help! Why can’t I see the guide tool? You have to join the Guide Group and then reload the hotel client to see the guide tool. If you still can not see the guide tool in the top left of the screen then ensure you have been playing Habbo for at least 30 days, haven’t had any bans for 30 days or a large amount in the past!
ARGH! What if there is more than one Habbo Guide in the room? That’s fine, the more the merrier! If you have another member of the Guide group in the room, then simply work together. Don’t try to outshine each other; it is not a race to answer the questions first. You and the fellow Guide should try to work together and create a friendly atmosphere for the new player.
So, I’m set… how can I guide and assist a new user? It really is down to you to decide the best way to help and individual. The possibilities are endless on how you can help someone. The users might not need something specific or have any questions, so it isn’t a good idea to go and bombard them and alwayBobbapect them to ask you something. They are expecting a friendly face, a warm welcome, to be shown the ropes, and to learn and discover about Habbo! The group forum will be filled with useful hints and tips from Head Guides and Guides, so it is a good idea to have a read and gather up as much knowledge as you can.
What should I do if a player is rude to me? No one should listen to abuse from anyone, guides are here to help, meet and greet and offer their knowledge. If a new Habbo is rude and abusive towards you, even after you have tried to explain why you are there, simply move on to the next user who needs help. The user might be overwhelmed and confused, a key skill to being a guide is to keep a level head and always remain calm and polite.
I’ve helped! Why haven't I received my next level badge yet? If you have met the criteria of achieving a badge, then please be aware that the handing out of animal badges is an automatic process and can take some time for the system to add everything. So please do not be disappointed if you have not received your next level of Animal badge just yet. Patience is need just like having patience with new players! Good things come to those who wait! Can I keep my previous Animal badges? Yes, all previous badges you earn as a guide you get to keep!
How many Habbos do I need to help to get the ..... badge? There is no answer to this i'm afraid, the only way (at this time) know when you will get your new badge is to keep checking and to keep a look out at your badge options!
How can I keep track of who I am helping? There are many great way to keep track of who you are helping and who has been helped, it really is whatever method is easier for you as a Guide. One of the best ideas we have seen was using the ‘friends management’ tool where you can make a category on your friends list called something such as ''Guided Players'' and then move them over to that category.
Why can’t I find any more players with the guide tool? Other than you may be helping 10 users already, it may also be that your current new player(s) have not met the criteria to be counted as successfully helped (such as activity and 3 days on your list), thus still counting as an unguided player.
I have successfully helped my player(s) so why can’t I search for new players? Once you have successfully helped your new player(s) and met the criteria to qualify for a reward, the player should no longer take up your 'helping capacity' on your list, if they still do, then you could always just send them a Friendship Request so they count as a regular friend rather than your new player.
My new player is demanding furniture! What shall I do? If a new user is asking for furniture it is a great opportunity to explain and introduce them to the free starter furniture that is given over a few days to new registered users. It’s a good idea to politely explain why you are there, and that Guides are not there to hand furniture out (unless you want to!) but to show new players the ropes and all the different kinds of fun within the hotel!
I was banned, can I still guide? If you have received a ban on Habbo, you will have to wait 30 days before your guide tool will re-appear!
Why is this so? This is because Habbo Guides are meant to be role models and should be behaving in an appropriate manner, therefore hopefully you will think before breaking the Habbo way in the future! :)
Why was my thread deleted? Sometimes many of the threads submitted by users on the Habbo Guides forum are asking questions which could have been answered by reading the FAQ's. We like to keep the forum nice and tidy and for that reason, we may delete your thread in the process of keeping the forum working as efficiently and effectivley as possible.
If your thread has been deleted it could be for one of the following reasons:- Your thread breaks the Habbo Way - Your question may already be answered in the FAQ's - Your thread was inappropriate spam!
