    Why are The Stone Roses not up here,They were the first to hit the big time with it.

    all that fighting with silvertone, totally stopping their career dead while the market they had created for this sound was exploited by other mancunians. the gallaghers walked right into the roses house, nicked their sound, their buzz and their fans.
