Last month while turning ourselves into prunes under water in the sunken ruins of Bensalem, we followed Don Smith and found a mysterious Totem base. Whilst a few of you got them then, we found many more and have made them available in the Catalogue. This Collectable will be on sale for 2 weeks only (until 5th May).
Whilst having a fiddle with the wooden treasure, I found it grew a strange coloured flame with some gentle rubbing. It seems like a sacred fire of some sorts. Although I am not an expert in sacred fires, my flame burns bright for Charlize Theron.
The Totem base, the symbol of tribe’s unity, is part 1 of 3. It has 12 clickable states and once all parts are brought together, it will have a new function. Hopefully over the next couple of months we can track down the other parts and find out where the tribe went too.
According to the carvings on the Totem base, it played a part in an ancient rite of passage.

I've seen Fire... Fire that you've seen. It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what fire means. Fire. Fire has a face... and you must make a friend of fire. Fire and pixels are your friends. If they are not then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies. I remember when I was with the tribe. Seems a thousand centuries ago. We went to the beach to start my “initiation”. There I was asked to tame Fire… and run. They said it was some ancient rite of passage… To become a warrior. So I walked. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... the power of fire… I became one of them. It’s clear now: we have to disappear into the jungle where the Pixel god is waiting for his Totem. D.S.
