Flynn500 and I continued walking deeper into the Furni store and soon came to a cross roads. We both stared long and hard at the three options that fate had laid out before us. To the left it was bright and cheerful with a winding path covered in Petal Patches, ahead it looked cold and bitter with Snow Patches mounting the sides of the icy walls and as for the right, it was dry and dusty with stacks of Sand Patches sweeping through the corridor. Flynn500 and I were quick to argue our desired route and we eventually both agreed that we should take the Petal Patch path.
In the opposite corner to the skeleton, UKchaserAl could just make out part of a computer screen. He walked towards it and brushed away the cobwebs that had been obscuring his view. There were red digital numbers flashing all over the screen. They were counting down to something. On the screen he could clearly see that 0 years, 0 days, 0 hours, 7 minutes and 5 seconds were left. He took the watch out of his jacket pocket and opened the door. The big hand moved and the clock face read 11:53. As UKchaserAl pondered over what might happen at 12, he gazed around at the glass pods and decided he should take a closer look. He made his way through the coils of power leads, towards the pulsing blue and green lights.
The Petal Patch path meandered long into the horizon and ran alongside seemingly endless golden fields of corn. Flynn500 stopped to call down a nearby well, just in case UKchaserAl was down there, but again there was no reply. I reminded her that this wasn't a scene out of the Goonies and we carried on our merry way through the countryside. The air started to become damp and it soon began to rain. This was a particularly strange experience, us being underground and all, but it was a welcomed cooling shower as the temperature had increased dramatically since we left the cross roads. As we smiled at a Rainbow that beamed radiantly above us, we were delighted that we hadn't chosen the Sand Patch route. Soon an old farmers barn came into view and although it was a long way to the East of us, we decided to head towards it and instantly cut through the corn fields.
The glass on the pod was cloudy and pulsed green every few seconds, momentarily blinding UKchaserAl and making it near impossible for him to see what was inside. He kept his eyes closed and counted in his head timing the bright pulses. Moments later he opened his eyes and could make out a shadow inside the pod. He closed his eyes again in time for the sharp flash of light and then upon opening them again saw a face come into view. UKchaserAl stepped back in horror and tripped on a nearby power lead. Although the cobwebs broke his fall slightly, he fell awkwardly and hit his head on the dusty concrete floor. He groaned, closed his eyes and lied motionless. In the corner of the room, the computer screen flashed 5 minutes as a thunderous growling noise began to bounce around the chamber.
