The Doc says we must reach NYC by tomorrow or face the worst - a life in 1950s America!

But while we refuel (and eat steak and mash for the last time), we checked out 'Chi-town'.

Not only is it one of Bucho6's favourite American cities (the architecture is amazing and the lake is so relaxing), but it also the financial and industrial centre of mid-America.

Often called The Windy City or The City of Broad Shoulders, Chicago became a city in 1837 after initailly being founded in 1833.

Chicago was once the capital of the railroad industry and until the 1960s it held the world's largest meatpacking facilities!

Chicago became notorious worldwide for its violent gangsters in the 1920s, most notably Al Capone, and for the political corruption in one of the longest lasting political machines in the nation. More recently it is the home of Democratic presidential nominee, Barack Obama.
